Fill Up that Tank

No I am not talking about fuel or gas to run cars. I am simply posting about tank rings. It seems that most if not all young, local Philippine celebrities are wearing this type of ring on their fingers these days. I see it; all those large or oversized rings they have on their forefinger usually.

I remember reading an article about this in a 2000-ish Vogue issue and there they called it tank ring.

And all the while these were just fancy types of jewelry that did not provide any value at all and used for just plain fashion flare reasons. I was dead wrong thinking that. See why here.

Would an old woman like myself be able to carry this 'bagets' type of fashion item? Maybe not. (Locally, bagets is loosely defined as an age grouping for the young. Something like a Gen X label thing)

Jean Stores I Like

Yes, Giordano has been my favorite jeans store for the longest time along. I have several Giordano jeans and slacks. But I also buy and I have a couple of Esprit, Benetton, Guess and Bayo. Forget the brands. I really just go for the comfort the jeans provide.

All equally stylish, these jeans have accompanied me through all my casual dressing requirements and weekend work schedules. In terms of price, Benetton, Esprit and Guess are a bit pricey. Although Giordano has come a long way since. They have become more expensive too. To this day, and despite being faded and all, I still wear my Benetton and Esprit jeans, along with Giordano.

Giordano first arrived in the Philippines in 1989 and "has since then, been at the forefront in the local fashion scene, delivering styles that are basic yet trendy, functional yet chic. Through the years, the brand has expanded into almost 40 stores nationwide".

A Pic Freebie?

Together with a 'katsa bag' freebie, I got this pic from Bayo. This was a couple of years ago when I used to buy their beautiful lady's shirts almost every other week.

Seems like this group was its management team at that time. I wonder who among them are still around?
